Get ready for a new year of Robotics fun.  Practices will be held on Mondays from 6:00-7:30pm. 
 
Start getting aquainted with the rules of the challenge at the official FLL website (see link on left).  Also, start visiting the FLL forums to see what other teams are doing/asking.

  • Bluetooth Range Article Here's a good article about extending the range of a Bluetooth device.  Last night at the meeting the question came up: If Bluetooth can only travel 10 meters how could it be used all over the house for our device?    http://www.popsci.com/diy/article/2004-11/bluetooth-mile-away   Keep in mind there are often many ways to solve a problem.  Do a little searching and see if there are already devices availbale with increased range.   Hint look for the Belkin F8T012.  What does this device offer for range?  What is the range and if longer than 10 meters why?  It's a standard Bluetooth device right?

  • Field is set up!!! Thanks to those who helped on Saturday to get the field set up.  All of the field items are assembled and attached to the field.    The new robot is a version 2.0 model that allows for some new features such as floating point.  The old robot has also been updated to get the new functionality.

  • First Lego Meeting First meeting will be on Monday 9/13/10 at 6:00 - 7:30.  We will be assembling the field, going over missions, and discussing the project.
